Horror Clip Notes and First Narrative Drafting

Setting:- Teenage twins are left at home whilst the rest of the family are out. In family home, living room, then hallway, they stairs, then bedroom.

Characters:-
Imogen - One half of the set of twins. The more reasonable and sensible twin. Intelligent.
Amanda - The other half of the set of twins. The rebel and immature out of the two twins.
Opening Scene
It starts off with the first twin, Imogen, who is downstairs on her own, papers all over the floor and she’s doing some homework work, scribbling down notes for school. Then she hears a thump coming from upstairs. she looks up to the ceiling, looks back down to her work and shakes her head because she thinks its her twin, Amanda, just being stupid upstairs making noise to annoy her. When she gets back to her work she hears more thumps with small pauses between them, still coming from upstairs. She tries to ignore it but struggles so abandons her work and storms to the bottom of the stairs annoyed.
She shouts up the stairs to Amanda to tell her to stop making so much noise because she’s studying and can’t concentrate with the racket she is making. But the thumps are getting louder and a little bit faster. So Imogen getting really stressed and annoyed storms up the stairs to go tell Amanda off, mumbling about how idiotic her twin Amanda is and how she was left in charge because she’s the oldest out of the two twins. She reaches Amanda’s bedroom door and is about to walk in but then pulls a face and rolls her eyes and knocks. "Amanda? Amanda? Stop making that stupid noise. It’s really annoying. I can’t study with you banging away. Amanda? Mandy?" Imogen then gets really annoyed because there is no answer so she mumbles to herself "She can’t say I didn’t knock." and walks into Amanda's room.

The light in Amanda's room is turned off but a bedside lamp is on lighting the room just a little bit enough to see Amanda huddled up on her bedroom floor, leaning her back against her wardrobe and hitting her back against it. She’s huddled with her arms around her face leaning on her knees. She’s wearing all black with the hood of her hoodie covering her head and face. Imogen is a bit confused as to what her twin is doing and starts to ask her questions about why she’s on the floor and why she’s banging and making noise ...etc. There is still no reply from Amanda but just more banging that is getting a little bit faster and louder than before. Imogen is getting a bit freaked out at this point and is asking her sister to stop which then becomes into begging for her sister to stop because it’s scaring her. Imogen stops talking and walks towards Amanda slowly, apprehensive.

As Imogen is getting closer to Amanda she reaches out to touch her with her hand. Slowly, slowly. Then she gets a hold of Amanda and then we (the audience) just see the sudden close up of Imogen’s face horrified and shocked mumbling scared words or even screaming and then the screen suddenly goes pitch black. A silent moments pause. The title of the film flashes onto screen with the sound of the thump that Amanda was making. And then the title fades out.

The Rest of the Narrative/Film
Amanda is possessed. She tries and gets her revenge on Imogen because of how Imogen always treats her as dumb and inferior to her. The revenge is out of her jealousy for Imogen. Amanda wants Imogen to go through the pain that she went through as they were growing up. Being abandoned. Several incidents of Amanda attempting to kill Imogen, i.e. in school, whenever the twins are left alone. Nobody believes Imogen that Amanda is trying to kill her. Possessed Amanda can manipulate other people into thinking that she is the innocent one not Imogen. Imogen is then seen as the “evil” and “sinister” one, and is too dangerous to keep around other teenagers. Therefore is sent away to a mental home, a place where lethal teenagers go. Amanda comes to visit acting all innocent, but again tries attempted murder on Imogen again so that it looks like Imogen took her own life. In the end, the twins younger brother, Drew, finds out Amanda’s sinister ways as he catch’s her in the act; finds out the truth of Amanda being possessed. Drew tries to talk Amanda out of it but fails. Drew fights for Imogen’s innocence. Finally, Drew catches Amanda at her worst on tape and shows his mother as evidence to what he has been fighting for and saying. The mother realises that she has put the wrong twin in the mental hospital, so takes action to make the switch. Amanda fights back about the decision, arguing and shouting and screaming that it was a big mistake. Amanda now put in the mental hospital, drives herself insane to the extent that the spirit that was possessing drives Amanda insane stuck at the mental hospital, which then leads to Amanda killing herself with a gory death. Imogen is relieved that the worst is over and is slowly recovering, however still grieves for the twin that she lost way before Amanda died. At the end of the film, there would be a small shot of red smoke leaving the dead body of Amanda through her mouth and finding its way to someone else’s mouth, but the audience don’t see who’s mouth it is. Then an extreme close up of the new victims DEEP RED eyes. Cue the credits.
